Social Media has changed the face of the American workplace and employers are scrambling to respond.  Yet this new means of communication has significant legal pitfalls that employers need to understand and protect against. The NLRB has taken a very agressive stance against employers that terminate employees because of what they do or say on Facebook.  The NLRB has alleged that many employers who fire employees for Facebook activity have violated the National Labor Relations Act by restricting protected Section 7 activity.  The NLRB General Counsel has issued three memoranda in the last year advising employers on what Facebook Firing they consider to be unlawful.  In addition to the NLRA, there are numerous other laws and legal perils that employers need to be concerned about when terminating employees for social media activity.   Join us for this informative and cutting-edge live webinar on what you need to know before you terminate employees for comments they post on social media sites (Facebook Firing).
